This kit addresses the most common 68RFE valve body failure points and upgrades critical components with proven solutions.
Kit Includes
✔ 3 Valve Body-to-Case Seals
Replaces worn seals to restore proper hydraulic integrity.
✔ DNJ Billet Thread Insert
Upgrades the factory plastic insert to a steel insert, preventing filter movement and eliminating the risk of the filter coming loose and causing fluid flow issues.
✔ TransGo .453" Switch Valve & Reamer
Helps correct the common P0868 / P0871 O/D kill codes caused by wear in the switch valve bore.
Reamer may be returned for a $50 refund.
Important: If you have an early valve body with a .420" bore, see notes below.
✔ Sonnax Billet Accumulators
Replaces factory plastic pistons with billet pistons, moving the contact surface away from the original wear area for increased durability.
✔ TransGo HD2 Kit
Includes multiple reliability upgrades:
• Thicker accumulator plate that resists flex
• Heavy-duty O/D snap ring that won’t break
• New springs for 2nd, 4th, and O/D accumulators
• Steel self-cleaning low/reverse switch valve
• Pump springs for improved pressure control
✔ DNJ Billet Channel Casting (THE KEY UPGRADE)
The DNJ billet channel casting eliminates cross leaks by stopping valve body flex. It replaces the factory channel plate, which is known to flex, warp, crack, and cause premature O/D failure.
You have to stop the flex — and this is the fix.

Why This Matters
Bonded separator plates (or plates with gaskets) do NOT stop the factory channel casting from flexing and cracking.
This billet channel casting is THE FIX for the 68RFE transmission.
It also supports higher line pressure capability
(Tuning is required when increasing line pressure.)
Reamer Refund Program
We will refund $50 for the .453" reamer once it is returned in good working condition.
Early Model Valve Body Notice
If your valve body has a .420" switch valve bore, you must specify at checkout — this standard kit will not work as-is.
We can supply the .420" TransGo reamer kit, and you will still receive the $50 refund once the reamer is returned in good working condition.
